Concealer Placement Guide
Concealer works best when placed only where added coverage or brightness is needed. Large triangles and thick layers are not required for every face or makeup goal.
Under-eye placement
Place a small amount near the inner under-eye area, where shadow is often most visible, and a second small amount near the outer corner if lift or brightness is desired. Blend the edges toward the cheek without covering the entire under-eye with a thick layer.
For a natural result
Choose a shade close to the foundation or natural complexion. This corrects unevenness without creating an obvious bright patch.
For a brighter result
Use a slightly lighter shade only in the areas you want to bring forward. Avoid going several shades lighter, which can look disconnected in normal lighting or photography.
Selected spot coverage
Use a small brush to place concealer directly over visible discoloration or isolated marks. Let it sit briefly, then tap the edges without wiping away the center. Match the complexion closely for this use.
Around the nose and mouth
Apply a very small amount where redness or shadow is visible and press it in. Too much product in areas with movement can crease or separate.
Set only as needed
Use a small amount of finely milled powder on areas that crease or move. Press rather than sweep, and avoid repeatedly layering powder over dry-looking texture.
Check the result in natural or neutral light. Concealer should create a smoother transition, not obvious light shapes beneath the eyes.
